Professional Philosophy Statement
- One (1) page of your own professional philosophy (values, beliefs, and perspectives related to student affairs work).
- Two (2) to three (3) page section that focuses on elements of your graduate program and further explains how these experiences/elements have fully prepared you to be an effective educator, administrator, and leader within Student Affairs.
- One (1) page focusing on a theoretical perspective related to a critical issue within higher education/student affairs that guides your own practice and academic interests.
- This is also a great section to incorporate perspectives that relate to globalization of higher education, policy reform, and other current trends that you are familiar with and also believe to be a critical or poignant topic in relations to your work and view within Student Affairs and Higher Education.
